Photo 13 Mar a photo from the earthquake in japan March 10, 2011 — a chilling reminder that in the end, we have no control.  The world around us can crumble, destroying all material possessions we ever considered valuable.  The only things indestructible are the bonds we form with those we love; an 8.9 earthquake could not shake that away from anyone. This couple gives me goosebumps, as they hold on to whats dearest to them—each other. I think I’ve decided I will give up something for lent: shopping.  I vow to change my life to live simply, give freely, and invest more in building indestructible relationships, rather than spending money on things that could be washed away at any second.
